A live-fire grill station featured tomahawk steaks with beef fat Roscoff onions and horseradish alongside colourful seasonal salads, while live paella and pasta stations added theatre and energy to the evening. Summer dessert stations served Mini Eclaire, Pump Street Chocolate Mousse and Housemade Blueberry Marshmallows amongst other delights and dedicated children’s food stations completed the relaxed, sociable experience that reflected the couple’s festival-inspired vision. Beautiful styling touches, wooden service trays and relaxed service helped bring a sense of informality while maintaining the polished delivery Social Pantry is known for.
The wedding day itself took place across multiple locations within the Wilderness Reserve estate, with the ceremony held in the beautiful Walled Garden before guests moved to the Orangery and marquee for the reception. With more than 227 adults and 25 children attending, the event required careful coordination across kitchens, front-of-house teams and suppliers such as Drunken Jockeys. Social Pantry’s team of chefs, waiting staff and event managers worked across the estate to ensure every transition felt seamless, from the ceremony refreshments through to the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations.
Guests were greeted with refreshing drinks stations featuring cloudy lemonade and elderflower spritzes before enjoying a generous canapé reception in the Orangery. The wedding breakfast combined elegant presentation with warm, attentive hospitality, with carefully curated seasonal dishes served throughout the evening like Turbot, Fish Skin Crumb, Grilled Gem, Mash, Seaweed Buttermilk Sauce, Sea Herbs and Confit Garlic Polenta, Tomato Caponata, Runner Beans, Romesco, Haverstock White, Cashews, alongside thoughtful children’s menus and tailored dietary options for guests. Champagne was poured tableside ahead of speeches, creating a celebratory atmosphere that carried through dinner and into the evening party. The atmosphere throughout was relaxed and celebratory, balancing the scale of the event with thoughtful, personal touches.
Working alongside the Wilderness Reserve team and trusted suppliers including Flower & Press, Social Pantry supported the wider flow and guest experience across the entire weekend. From early-morning kitchen set-up to coordinating staffing across multiple locations, every detail was carefully managed behind the scenes to allow guests to fully immerse themselves in the celebrations.
The celebrations continued into Sunday with a relaxed day of food stations and informal dining, giving guests one final opportunity to come together before departing the estate. A generous barbecue and salad station showcased seasonal dishes including Ethical Butcher Burgers, Swiss Cheese, Brioche Bun, French Fries and Harissa Roasted Tenderstem, Fresh Herbs, Almonds, Mustard Frills, Lemon and Moscatel Vinaigrette, while wood-fired Wildfarmed pizzas were served throughout the evening, with toppings including Globe Artichoke and Wild Mushroom. Ice cream stations and laidback outdoor dining added to the relaxed festival atmosphere that carried through the entire weekend.
The result was a beautifully executed countryside wedding that captured everything guests love about festival-style celebrations: incredible food, immersive experiences, relaxed luxury and unforgettable moments shared outdoors with friends and family. At Wilderness Reserve, Social Pantry delivered a wedding weekend that felt both elevated and wonderfully free-spirited.
