IMG HOUSE WIMBLEDON Two weeks of all-day VIP catering
This July marked our third consecutive year catering at the IMG House Wimbledon.
Each summer during Wimbledon season, IMG takes over a house just a stone’s throw from Centre Court, where they host executives, VIP guests and tennis talent throughout the duration of the competition. With catering provided from breakfast right through to the evening, guests can come and go as they please for drinks, snacks or meals, before being chauffeured right back to the courts to catch the tennis.
Social Pantry is proud to have provided the catering for the IMG House for the past three years, with our team setting up in this beautiful suburban house daily for two weeks each summer, serving seasonal breakfasts, lunches, and of course, strawberries and cream…
Both breakfast and lunch are set up in stations in the house’s beautiful open-plan kitchen, offering a wide variety of hot and cold options that guests can help themselves to. Our chefs prepare all the food in a neighbouring house, but ensure that there’s always a chef in the IMG house itself, constantly replenishing bowls and hot food chafing dishes. Find out more about what we served below…
As for drinks, we partnered with GRIND who set up a coffee cart in the kitchen with in-house baristas available all day and Beyond Cocktails, who kept guests happy and hydrated with bespoke cocktails, mocktails and more.
The Menus
With multiple guests (and therefore multiple dietary requirements) eating with us throughout the day, it was important to provide ample choice at every meal time.
At breakfast, we served a number of both hot and cold options, including Social Pantry’s house-made granola with fresh British berries and either dairy or coconut yoghurt; warm pastries; and sourdough toast with a choice of hot and cold toppings including almond butter, avocado, Scottish smoked salmon, streaky bacon, pork sausages, tarragon-infused wild mushrooms, and cooked-to-order St Ewe eggs.
For lunch, guests could help themselves to a number of different fresh summer salads, including Red & White Quinoa, Heritage Tomatoes, Slow-Roasted Red Onions, Crumbled Feta, Pickled Cucumber, and Herbs in a Sumac & Mustard Dressing and Summer Slaw with Spring Onion, Mangetout, Coriander, Pomegranate and a Lime & Sesame Dressing. We also served hot food in chafing dishes, always including a meat, fish and vegetarian option. Examples include chef-carved Fillet of Beef served with English & Wholegrain Mustard Horseradish Crème Fraîche; Cod with Steamed Mussels, Chilli and Garlic Butter Sauce and Artichoke, Goats Cheese, Parmesan and Spinach Galette with Toasted Seed Crust.
As for dessert, it wouldn’t be Wimbledon without strawberries and cream! So we served juicy British strawberries and whipped cream alongside our light and chewy meringues, as well as other mini desserts like our Coffee & Chocolate Delice with Hazelnut Praline and Lemon Meringue Tart with Zero Waste Croissant Brittle.
While many of the dinners at IMG House were provided by restaurants, Social Pantry was thrilled to be asked to host two summer BBQs during the two-week period. Serving up to 100 guests a time, the barbecues were a huge success and featured different meat, vegan and gluten-free grill options like Grilled Aubergine with Ren’s Pantry Black Lime Dressing; Vadouvan Spiced Chicken with Lemon Yogurt and Hereford Beef Burgers with Pickles and Lettuce in Brioche Buns. We also made sure to include elevated, Social Pantry twists on classic barbecue sides, from Grilled Sweetcorn with Garlic & Herb Butter and Grated Parmesan to a Classic Potato & Wholegrain Mustard Salad, plus all the condiments you could ever need.
Dropping you a quick note to say a huge THANK YOU for everything you and the team did across the fortnight at Wimbledon. I have nothing but positive things to say – the team were professional, exceptionally helpful and the food was outstanding!
