Supplier spotlight: Paul Rhodes Bakery

Recently, our Workplace team visited long-standing supplier Paul Rhodes Bakery to learn more about the craftsmanship, care and round-the-clock operation behind the products we use across our workplace menus.

From breakfast pastries at early morning meetings to sweet and savoury delights served throughout the day, Paul Rhodes products have become a staple within our workplace offering. One favourite we regularly serve is their Corn & Jalapeño Muffin – a savoury bite that’s always popular with clients and teams alike.

The Paul Rhodes team welcomed us into the bakery and showed us every stage of the process, from production through to delivery. Seeing the operation up close gave us a real appreciation for the work that goes into keeping products consistently fresh while operating at such scale.

One fact that particularly stood out was that the bakery produces an impressive 2,500 burger buns every single day, with kitchen and delivery teams working around the clock to ensure products move from oven to client as quickly as possible.

The visit also gave the team the chance to get hands-on in the bakery, learning how to shape sourdough loaves with guidance from the expert bakers. They even left with some sourdough starter of their own, ready to put their new baking skills to the test at home.

By the end of the visit, we came away with not only a deeper understanding of the bakery’s operation, but an even greater appreciation for the suppliers and people behind the products we serve every day.
