Easter is the perfect moment to refresh your table and welcome in the new season. As the days grow lighter and spring begins to unfold, your tablescape can reflect that same sense of renewal. Taking a thoughtful, layered approach ensures your table feels elevated yet effortless. Here, our Creative Styling Manager Abi shows you how
Coloured glassware is a simple but impactful way to draw the eye through your tablescape. As natural light moves across the table, tinted goblets and tumblers catch and reflect it, adding softness and subtle drama. Whether you choose delicate pastels or richer tones, the key is to let the glass become part of the visual story. Positioned thoughtfully along the table, it creates movement and depth without overwhelming the setting.
Monochromatic styling offers a refined, cohesive look that feels both modern and timeless. Rather than introducing multiple competing colours, stick to one and explore its full range of tones. Mix lighter and deeper shades and layer different textures within the same palette to avoid a flat finish. Matte ceramics against glossy finishes, crisp tablecloths paired with softer linen napkins – these subtle contrasts bring richness while maintaining harmony.
For a touch of personality, use fruit as an unexpected vase. Hollowed citrus fruits make charming vessels for small blooms or delicate sprigs, adding scent and colour in a way that feels natural and unfussy. It’s a playful detail that sparks conversation and ties beautifully into the season.
Once the meal is over, the fruit can serve a second purpose. Slice any leftover lemons and scatter chopped peels around the base of plants in the garden to help repel ants, aphids and slugs. It’s a thoughtful, zero-waste gesture that extends the life of your styling beyond the table.
Spring florals are essential for an Easter table, and narcissi in all their varieties are a particular favourite at Social Pantry. These blooms signal the passing of winter and the promise of summer ahead. Their soft whites and vibrant yellows bring instant freshness to the setting.
Keep arrangements relaxed and natural. Cluster stems in simple ceramic jugs or distribute smaller vessels along the length of the table to create flow. Let the flowers speak for themselves – their shape and colour provide all the impact you need.
Stripes are firmly in focus this season. Inspired by the SS26 runways at Loewe, Jacquemus and Marimekko, a bold striped tablecloth can transform the mood of your table instantly.
Stripes provide structure and direction, grounding the more organic elements layered on top. Whether wide and playful or fine and understated, they bring a contemporary edge while still feeling timeless. Paired with seasonal florals and natural textures, the look feels fresh and considered rather than overpowering.
Texture is what makes a table feel inviting. Begin with chargers (large, decorative base plates) – woven rattan styles work beautifully – to add warmth and subtle contrast beneath plates. Pair them with linen napkins for softness and ease, and finish with pearlescent cutlery to introduce a gentle, light-catching detail.
It’s this layering of materials – woven, smooth, matte and luminous – that gives the table depth. Guests may not immediately identify each individual element, but they will feel the overall effect: a setting that is thoughtfully composed, tactile and luxurious.
With these simple yet considered touches, your Easter table becomes more than a place to dine. It becomes a celebration of the season – fresh, welcoming and in tune with spring.
