Following a multi-million pound refurbishment by award-winning architectural studio Haworth Tompkins, Battersea Arts Centre’s stunning Grand Hall is available as a private event space for weddings, dinners, conferences, music events and filming/photography.

The Grade II listed building offers breathtaking architecture with striking vaulted ceilings and the sensitively preserved, Pompeiian-post-fire quality to the walls providing limitless theatrical possibility and clear acoustics for spectacular events, while its rich history as a powerhouse of community activity places access and inclusivity at its core.

The Council Chamber located on the first floor at the front of the building, accessed via the opulent marble staircase, provides an impressive and timeless event space for sit-down dinners of up to 120 guests, or standing capacity of 200. The flexible, thoughtful configuration of Battersea Arts Centre allows the possibility of multiple, interconnecting spaces that can be used for dining, entertaining, performance, as a bar, breakout room, dance floor or whatever additional space your event calls for.

Capacity

Battersea Arts Centre has a range of flexible spaces with capacities that span from small meeting rooms to a very large central hall.

The most notable space, the Grand Hall, can accommodate up to 800 guests standing, 550 theatre-style and 350 for seated dinners.

Other hire spaces such as the Council Chamber and Members’ Bar support smaller receptions (100–200), while meeting and studio spaces are suited to intimate gatherings from around eight up to about 100 people depending on configuration.
