Turmeric & Blueberry Porridge Recipe

For the perfect porridge with a real health kick to ward off those winter colds, try this nutritious and flavoursome Blueberry Porridge breakfast recipe with Tumeric, the AMAZING anti-inflammatory & antioxidant packed spice.

(Makes 4 portions)

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 100g porridge oats
  • 500ml almond milk
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup, to taste
  • 1 punnet fresh blueberries

Porridge Topping:

  • 1 tsp toasted chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp dried blueberries
  • 1 tbsp puffed quinoa
  • 1 tbsp toasted oats

 

Tumeric Porridge

 

METHOD
1. Place the oats, milk and turmeric in a pan over a medium–low heat, stir continuously for 5-10 minutes until the oats have softened and soaked most of the liquid. Add more milk until you reach the correct consistency and texture.
2. Season with a pinch of salt and maple syrup.
3. Pour into a bowl and finish with the porridge topping mix, a swirl of maple syrup and a handful of fresh blueberries.
