As our Social Pantry Café customers know, if you’re feeling a bit under the weather or in need an afternoon pick-me-up, a Moju shot is just the answer. Ginger or Turmeric – take your pick. We’ve been selling Moju shots in the café since last Autumn and they have proven immensely popular. Taken straight, mixed with soda water and poured over ice and even added to hot water, we’ve seen them enjoyed numerous different ways.

We caught up with Rich, co-founder of Moju…

  1. How did Moju get started and how many people work for Moju now?

Charlie and I sold our first bottle of juice in early 2015, launching MOJU officially in October 2015, with listings in Harrods and As Nature Intended. We’ve focused on independents from the start and are proud to be one of the leading cold-pressed juice suppliers to indie coffee shops and delis.  We’ve grown to a team of 5, who are a big part of the MOJU story and make the journey a lot of fun!

  1. What is Moju’s overall aim?

We want to make fruit and veg fun. Most of us still fall woefully short of recommended daily intake, so we’re innovating with veg and fruit to make it as tasty and convenient as possible.

  1. Apart from Social Pantry, where else can we find your juices?

You can find our juices in some of London’s best speciality coffee shops and a leading health food and drink retailers like Wholefoods, Planet Organic and As Nature Intended.

  1. Which is your most popular juice/shot and why do you think that is?

It’s a seasonal thing, but the green juice is a consistent best seller. It’s packed with leafy greens which helps with winter colds and flu but is also very refreshing during spring/summer. Both the ginger and turmeric shots have been selling really well, particularly in the colder months where the immune support from the fresh ginger and turmeric root comes in handy.

  1. What else can we expect from Moju in 2017?
