Let the Styling Do the Talking: Inspiration For Styling Your Wedding Food

Styling For Your Big Day

With an unlimited amount of ways to source inspiration for your big day, it can become overwhelming to say the least, but we think why not keep it simple, leave the styling to us and let your foodie dreams come true with style.

Stacks, Snacks and Food Stations

It’s all about the hanging heritage carrot, the bunch of British radishes and bountiful baskets of artisan bread and flavoured butters. Switch up your standard plate of canapés to a stack of grilled British asparagus with Maldon sea salt, garlic and chive mayo or a full-blown food station of culinary dreams with flavour and bursting with colour. Our go to prop this summer is the bespoke made – copper stand – which you can hang a bunch of budding roses, broccoli heads or bunches of fresh herbs from in order to set the scene for a charcuterie and mezze station. And trust us when we say, this looks a-mezze-ing.

Sharing Platters

Out with the old and in the with the sharing boards we say! There is nothing more interactive and social than an overflowing board of food to set in front of your wedding guests, ready for them to dig into. This season, our sumptuous spring leg of lamb, slow-cooked for 24 hours and covered with orange zest and pistachio nuts, has been the go to sharing board. Served up with a selection of seasonal sides.

Your Alternative Wedding Cake

In keeping with the ‘why does everything need to be overboard?’ why not switch up the traditional wedding cake for a sharing styled wedding cake? The more colour and styling the better. Take your traditional pavlova and shower it with British strawberries and blueberries lavender macaroons, crushed pistachios and all the edible flowers can you dream off. Thinking of taking it to the next level, why not personalise your pavlova with giant letters of you and your newlyweds’ name? We promise, it’s a wedding cake to remember.

Late Night Snacks

It’s that time of night and perhaps the booze has gone to your head, so what better way to soak it up than a selection of wholesome late-night snacks. But at Social Pantry, we don’t do anything in halves and we wouldn’t dare just serve your snacks on a platter. No, no… we want theatrics and the full monty. We’re thinking LED boxes with personalised cones of fish ‘n’ chips, a Thai corner station with bite size street food wonders or our go-to doughnut wall – a wall quite literally covered with all shapes and sizes, colours and textures of doughnuts! The stuff dreams are made of.

The Morning After?

We know how you feel when it’s the morning after and you can’t believe it’s all over – but why does it have to be? What better way to wake up as the new Mr and Mrs, your family and friends with you and a selection of brunch stations styled up to the nines with your carefully selected brunch dishes. This season we’ve loved our Bloody Mary stations, equipped with a  fully trained mixologist, rustic baskets of heirloom tomatoes and Ketel One vodka. Then move onto the live waffle station, draped with seasonal flowers and bowls of fresh fruit, yoghurts and creams to top your freshly baked waffle. Of course, it wouldn’t be a hangover breakfast if you didn’t have the breakfast bap. Whether your vegan, veggie, pescatarian, gluten free or just an all-round meat lover, we’ll have those freshly baked breakfast baps ready to go.
