Key4Life is a charity that works with young offenders in prison and post-release for up to twelve months, helping them to find a new path in life. Here at Social Pantry, we are supporting Key4Life in two ways:
- We offer employment to young men in our kitchen that have been through the Key4Life scheme. Our current employee is a shining example of just how amazing the charity is and has recently been awarded ‘Employee of the Month’.
- Alex Head, owner and founder of Social Pantry, is also a Key4Life mentor and is actively helping an individual to change their attitude, thinking and behaviour through mentoring, advice and specialist support.
Earlier this month, team Social Pantry attended Key 4 Life’s annual charity gala dinner. With the likes on Bob Geldoff, Rizzle Kicks and Emeli Sande, we had a ball whilst supporting a truly special and brilliant cause very close to our hearts.
During the inspirational evening, we heard from six young men that have participated in Key4Life (across 3 programmes). They took to the stage for a Q&A session with John Vincent (Founder and CEO of Leon) and we heard all about their stories and how they have turned their lives around.
Charlotte, Social Pantry’s Marketing manager, even won herself a few bottles of champers too!
