Meet Lucy, Social Pantry’s brilliant Cafe manager. If you’ve ever visited our cute-as-a-button cafe on Lavender Hill, you’ll instantly be welcomed by Lucy’s lovely bubbly self. Recently heard explaining to a customer how one of their latest sandwich creations reminds her of a summer’s day spent on the Venetia Riveria, Lucy’s passion for Social Pantry Cafe is what makes it just so special. Pop in and say hello the next time you’re in the Clapham/Battersea neighbourhood.
What’s your role at Social Pantry?
Use 3 words that best sum up your role at SP?
Chief cake taster!
Desert Island dish?
I don’t eat meat so anything vegetarian. Aubergine Parmigiana is my absolute favourite. Anything with Goats Cheese and/or Spinach – which means I love the SP Spinach and Feta rolls
Dream dinner date?
They would be dream dinner ‘dates’ – my gorgeous group of friends who live in and around the Clapham area. They are always good fun and quite partial to playing games, good wine and chatting over life’s finer points.
Top 5 a day?
Spinach (see above)
I love a good whisky or an ale – such an old man drinker!
Guilty food indulgence?
Venison (I sort of do eat meat sometimes…)
I host a real-life story telling night on a monthly basis. I have been known to get up and tell a couple too…
Fav foodie joke?
Q: What kind of nuts always seems to have a cold?
