Wednesday 11th July was a memorable day for many. It might have been the day we lost hope in England winning the World Cup but it was also the day that we threw the best god-damn-party Ealing has EVER experienced. We invited 400 guests to #EscapeTheCity and join us for the official opening of Soane’s Kitchen – Social Pantry’s newest location. Here’s what went down…
Led by a trail of orange balloons from Ealing Broadway, guests wandered along to Soane’s Kitchen, situated in the stunning surroundings and walled garden of Pitzhanger Manor in Walpole Park.
Welcomed by a spectacular display by Wildabout Flowers, it was here that the fun really started. Kicking things off on the decks, we had DJ Cozzy D to set the vibe.
Free-flowing cocktails and Hayman’s G&Ts, expertly served up by our friends at Drinks Fusion, were a refreshing and energising welcome in the endless summer heatwave.
The ladies (and the men, might we add) headed straight to the Petal Parlour, brought to you by the brilliant Heaps + Stacks team.
Once appropriately petal’d, The Wishing Tunnel was calling… a charity raffle in aid of The Felix Project. We raised a total of £376 for charity and guests had a chance of winning fantastic prizes kindly donated by local Ealing businesses.
Naturally, we made sure the food was a talking point. Roaming canapés and bowl food featuring a few exclusive dishes from the Soane’s Kitchen menu included the signature ‘Soane’s Pineapple’ with Mango and Coconut Sorbet’. An all you can eat (which is no mean feat) six foot charcuterie station and meringues sculpted to spell ‘SOANES’ were a real Insta-hit.
We made certain to screen the football for all supporters to watch. Those that weren’t glued to the TV also enjoyed a gospel choir performance – an apt mix of everyone’s fave 90s tunes and chart hits.
Luckily, we had Love Island’s favourite DJ duo, The Mac Twins, to heat things up and make sure the party’s mood wasn’t damped by the unfortunate football result.
As the sun set on Soane’s, we danced into the night and with a series of unexpected surprises throughout, it’s safe to say the launch party has gone down in (Ealing) history.
Pencil in 11th July 2019 for our 1st birthday… you’re not going to want to miss this one.
But for now, we’ll see you at Soane’s.
Special thanks to this lovely lot for helping make the launch party such a success:
